The standard extruder I got with my 3D printer wasn’t working the way I wanted it so I decided to design my own. Because it was my intension to hang it from the top of the printer so I added a arm to the design and developed a filament holder to go with it. I named it the Kis Bowden Extruder and the Kis Bowden Extruder, Kis stands for keep it simple.
If you have a delta printer and want to give it a go, the files and instructions can be found here: Thingiverse. There is a version with and without the arm so you don’t need a delta printer to be able to use the extruder. I also made 2 different versions for the MK7 and MK8 gear types and you can use it by threading the tube with nuts or by putting tube connectors on both sides. I’ll be happy to hear your findings.
